Storytellers Studio

A creative writing and storytelling class where children invent characters, plan plots and write their own stories in English. They read their work aloud, give each other feedback and build a portfolio of finished stories.

Sample activities

  • Story Dice

    Roll picture dice and build a story from what comes up.

  • Character Lab

    Invent a character, then answer questions as them.

  • Story Mapping

    Plan a plot on a beginning-middle-end map.

  • Author's Chair

    Read a finished story aloud to the group.

Levels

  • Beginner Telling and drawing stories, with short written sentences.
  • Intermediate Planned stories with clear paragraphs.
  • Advanced Longer pieces, editing and developing their own style.
  • Placed by the teacher after the trial lesson.
