Cambridge Music

A joyful introduction to English through songs, rhythm, movement and musical play. Children learn new words, follow musical instructions and grow from joining in to performing together, ending the term with a mini showcase.

What does a session look like?

Hello circle

Welcome song and warm-up.

10:00–10:15 15 min

Sample activities

  • Call & Response

    The teacher sings a line and children echo it back.

  • Body Percussion

    Clap, stamp and tap rhythms to an English chant.

  • Musical Statues

    Freeze when the music stops, then say what you are.

  • Song Stories

    Act out a song's story with simple props.

Levels

  • Early Steps ages 3–5 Joining in with songs, actions and first words.
  • Pre A1 Starters ages 6–7 Remembering lyrics and speaking in short phrases.
  • Children move through the term from listening to singing to performing together.

    Your child joins the regular group. There is no commitment to carry on afterwards.
